This week's roundup includes a grocery store selling Chanel goods at Paris Fashion Week, centerpieces with illuminated sparklers in South Florida, funnel cakes dangling from a parasol in New York, and a cash-filled backdrop for the red-carpet premiere of Muppets Most Wanted in Hollywood.

On Wednesday, the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood hosted the premiere for Muppets Most Wanted. The film's stars, including Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, and Ty Burrell—and Miss Piggy—posed on the red carpet in front of a backdrop that featured stacks of prop money and a vault.

For his Fall/Winter 2014 Chanel show on March 4, Karl Lagerfeld reimagined the Grand Palais in Paris as a full-scale supermarket-cum-shopping center. As models emerged wearing head-to-toe Chanel designs, they casually perused and shopped the aisles. Some even pushed customized carts, plucking products off the shelves as they walked.

On February 24 Oakley launched its new global marketing campaign, “Disruptive by Design,” with an interactive experience in Los Angeles intended as a celebration of the brand's past, present, and future. One eye-catching element included a so-called "mad scientist" from Oakley, who ran a light transmission test on the Oakley Plutonite lenses.

With circus-style acts performing throughout the space, the February 27 collection launch event in New York had catering that matched the whimsical theme. For instance, parasols held dangling funnel cakes, and servers were trained to imitate tightrope walkers as they passed the bites.

At the mid-February benefit in Hollywood, Florida, tables were draped in sequined tablecloths—and the centerpieces quite literally sparkled. Sparklers from Sparktacular Inc. were placed in flower arrangements and triggered remotely by event staffers at a certain point in the evening's program. Xquisite Events designed the centerpieces.

The theme of the February 8 event in Miami was "the Art of the Possible." The waitstaff wore custom bow ties with word art graphics that were used throughout the gala to bring the abstract theme to life.

At the South Beach Food & Wine Festival's Starry Night: An Evening With Tyler Florence event at the Fisher Island Club, guests could pluck honeydew push pops, which also contained caviar and crème fraîche, from a melon.

Alongside the title dish at a Ceviche & Pisco event were coconut halves displaying individual ingredients. The arrangement added a color-blocking element to the presentation. My Ceviche created the dishes served at the event at the Gale South Beach rooftop.

To generate excitement for the Philadelphia Flower Show, organizers staged pop-up guerrilla marketing events. Elements included a pop-up beer garden that was erected over Presidents' Day weekend in a vacant lot on Broad Street. The garden's decor promoted the Flower Show, and despite frosty temperatures, more than 2,000 people came out to enjoy the space.

For your next event, host a spontaneous pizza party, like Ellen DeGeneres did at the Oscars. Pizza doesn't have to be the main course—you can add it to the menu via creative hors d'oeuvres. In Beverly Hills, Cory Martin Events is now serving an array of bite-size pies made with seasonal ingredients. Think fresh burrata caprese, organic enoki mushroom and truffle, and roasted fingerling potatoes with caviar.
