Baker Creek Mountain Resort’s new “Lights Out” package takes the property’s rustic, off-the-grid vibe a little further. Guests can book one of the Heritage Trappers Cabins (prices start at about $350 per night), which are equipped with, well, not a whole lot. No cell service, Wi-Fi, or electricity, just a fireplace and lanterns, plus a lock box to store devices. So instead of swiping and scrolling, guests can go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating.

Fork & Farm recently introduced a handful of new interactive stations while still holding true to the caterer’s motto of using sustainable, locally grown ingredients. The gravity-siphoned Ramen Bar (pictured) features house-made broths infused with different flavors such as mushroom miso and lemongrass chili chicken, which are then topped with fresh, hand-stretched noodles, all crafted to order in front of guests. A veggie-carving cart, called A Walk Through the Garden, roams throughout events, offering a fun, interactive approach to a traditional vegetable platter with dishes including harissa-rubbed cauliflower with mint chimichurri and smoky aubergine tagine with lemon and apricots.
