5 New Venues in Edmonton for Fall 2020 Meetings and Events

Edmonton's newly opened event venues for hosting meetings and events this fall.

Kristine Liao
November 18, 2020

Here's a look at Edmonton's new spaces open for events this fall. The new and renovated Edmonton venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.

A note regarding COVID-19: At BizBash, we're still committed to bringing you ideas and inspiration for when (yes, when!) events are back up and running. Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to the pandemic, or they may be operating at a lower capacity.

Italia
Italia
Italia at River Cree Resort & Casino opened in July with a cuisine that highlights a variety of Italian classics with a modern twist. Led by executive chef JP Dublado, the menu offers pasta, risotto, flatbread, steak, and seafood dishes like the pan-seared Alaskan scallops. The restaurant has a main room that can accommodate 82 seated and 100 standing; a private dining room with a fireplace and TVs that can accommodate as many as 24 seated and 30 standing; and a veranda overlooking greenery that can accommodate as many as 44 seated and 50 standing. The venue is available for buyouts and has complimentary parking.

The franchise’s third location, LOVEPIZZA Rabbit Hill, opened in September in Southwest Edmonton. The new spot follows the brand’s sleek, modern look, with white marble counters and black patterned floors; it seats 50 and is available for buyouts. Known for its handmade and hand-rolled pizzas, the restaurant features unique options including its truffle-infused Holy Shiitake pizza and its Montreal Smoked Meatza pizza that incorporates tater tots. Customers also have the choice to create their own. LOVEPIZZA opened a fourth location in the city of Spruce Grove in October and also has shops in downtown Edmonton and St. Albert.

The Oliver venue has an open setup with wooden details and a large tree as the centerpiece of the space. It has a capacity of 300 and is available for private bookings. Hanjan describes itself as a cafe and eatery by day and bar by night. On the menu, the bulgogi tacos, fried chicken options, and honey-butter bread are notable dishes. The bar, on the other hand, serves espresso, beer, and a variety of fruit-flavored soju bottles.
