Organizers of the fourth annual "Most Wanted" benefit, which takes place at Eagles Nest Golf Club on Thursday, hosted an intimate cocktail party for about 40 sponsors, committee members, and the media on Monday at the Milli boutique on Yorkville's Critchley Lane. The V.I.P. evening, coordinated by Erika Larva of Monarch Events Group, included a mini fashion show featuring pieces from several of the international labels to be shown on the runway at the benefit for gynecological cancer care at Princess Margaret Hospital.
"When we approached Milli [to help coordinate the runway show] we were so happy she said yes because we knew she would give us a spectacular collection. We'll be showing labels like Lanvin, Moschino, Valentino, and Georges Chakra," Larva said. "We are so excited because this doesn't happen so easily."
Because the collections have been flown in for the event, organizers decided to host their first-ever preview night to raise awareness of the gala and generate exposure for Milli. "I think a little bit of extra PR doesn't hurt," Larva said, noting that Thursday's gala conflicts with the Ontario Science Centre's annual LG Innovators' Ball. "When I realized there was another event, it was most unfortunate," she said, adding the date for the fund-raiser was booked a year ago.
Fashion File's Adrian Mainella hosted the cocktail reception. Lindsey Shaw Catering catered the event, the Butler Did It handled the staffing, and Devan supplied the floral arrangements.
