Here's a look at Toronto's new spaces open for events this spring. The new and renovated Toronto venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.
A note regarding COVID-19: At BizBash, we're still committed to bringing you ideas and inspiration for when (yes, when!) events are back up and running. Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to the pandemic, or they may be operating at a lower capacity.
PAI Uptown

Chef Nuit and her husband, Jeff Regular, brought authentic Thai flavors to Toronto in November with PAI Uptown. Named after a town in northern Thailand, the restaurant offers a menu full of Nuit’s traditional family recipes. Highlights include pad thai, Khao sot (a creamy curry noodle soup) and pad gram prow (stir fry with ground pork and a Thai-style fried egg). The venue spans 14,000 square feet and is available for full buyouts to accommodate as many as 330 guests amid a homestyle atmosphere complete with lantern lighting, exposed brick and wood-paneled ceilings.

Minami Toronto

In November, Aburi Restaurants (the hospitality group behind Miku, Aburi Hana and Tora) opened Minami Toronto, a contemporary Japanese eatery located in the King West Neighborhood. The 4,253-square-foot space boasts a menu that nods to Japanese favorites with selections such as the Sakura Bento featuring halibut and wagyu beef. Sleek seating and dramatic lighting make for an atmosphere as theatrical as the cocktails—which are smoked table-side. Indoors, host up to 153 guests seated or 60 for reception-style events. Meanwhile, an outdoor patio can accommodate as many as 100 guests seated. Full buyouts are available.

Dzo Viet Eatery

Opened in March, Dzo Viet Eatery fuses American and Asian cuisines for a creative menu offering a slew of eclectic dishes, such as Bahn mi sliders with braised pork belly, tamarind soft-shell crab and lemongrass tofu. A colorful lantern display serves as the focal point of the 3,000-square-foot restaurant, where planners can host up to 140 guests seated downstairs or 100 seated upstairs. Full and partial buyouts are available.

Little Sister Portland (Dutch Indo Food Bar)

After its opening in December, Little Sister Portland became the first location in Toronto to serve an Indonesian-Dutch menu—more specifically, Rijsttafel, a traditional feast of small plates that allows guests to get a taste of everything. Host up to 30 seated or 40 standing guests in the 1,100-square-foot space, or 20 guests in the restaurant’s lower-level cocktail bar, the XXX Bar, which offers a fully custom experience, from welcome cocktails to interactive bar classes and seminars. The urban grunge decor, glass-encased kitchen and eclectic wall designs displaying daily menu items were a joint effort created by local design firms Commute Home and Biography Design.
