At a brunch hosted by Victoria's Secret Wednesday, August 24, small talk turned to pilates and an apples-and-chicken diet. Geared toward media, personal trainers, and other fitness-savvy folks, the Willis Tower affair served as a promotion for the brand's line of VSX sportswear. Jen Fahey, brand communications and events director at Victoria's Secret, tapped Lindsay Hays, president of Grace Public Relations, to plan and manage the daytime function.
At the brunch, linens in the brand's signature pink hue draped tables; the rosy color also showed up in bright flower arrangements from Pistil and Vine. A corner table held VSX merchandise, and small Victoria's Secret bags at each place setting held gift cards and information on the products. Blue Plate's menu catered to the health-conscious crowd with a juice bar and fat-free yogurt parfaits.
Erin Heatherton, one of the brand's models, was the host. "Erin is the face of the VSX Sexy Sport campaign, so the choice [to have her host] was easy and natural," said Hays. "Erin also hails from Skokie, making it a nice fit to have her in Chicago for the event."
After the morning event, Heatherton had a day filled with promotional initiatives for the line, including stops at a local gym and a customer event and photo opp at a suburban Victoria's Secret store.
