Take a peek at these buzz-worthy restaurants, hotels, meeting and event spaces and more recently opened in Vancouver.

Here's a closer look at Vancouver's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Vancouver venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.

A note regarding COVID-19: Some of the venues listed here may not yet be available for hosting events due to the pandemic, or they may be operating at a lower capacity.

Cask Whisky Vault
Cask Whisky Vault
Thirty-five minutes outside of Vancouver, the Versante Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in Richmond, debuted the Cask Whisky Vault in November. This stylish escape seats up to 65 guests in a swanky street-level space designed with warm woods and accented with tufted green couches, leather lounges and moody lighting. There are two private dining rooms, including the Vault, which positions guests at a round marble table surrounded by whiskies native to cities around the globe. The Cask Whisky Vault spans a total of 3,007 square feet and is available for full buyouts complete with an on-site kitchen and AV capabilities. Food is served Izakaya-style (a traditional Japanese style of dining with small, shareable bites). Menu highlights include jumbo prawn tempura, dry-aged beef tartare and cuts of wagyu. The extensive drink list fittingly offers a range of single-malt, bourbon and blended whiskies.

Carlino
Carlino
Inspired by the Friuli region of Italy, Carlino was unveiled in December by BC-based restaurant group Kitchen Table Restaurants and is serving up a robust menu of classic dishes. The dining space is anchored by an olive tree as a nod to the venue’s roots in Northern Italian culture. The 4,000-square-foot venue can accommodate 108 seated guests or 198 standing. A private dining room for up to 28 is also available and comes equipped with a flat-screen TV and Bluetooth capabilities. Carlino is open seven days a week, including daily for breakfast; for lunch Mon.-Fri.; for daily aperitivo hour 2:30-5 p.m.; dinner until late; and weekend brunch 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

OPUS Vancouver
OPUS Vancouver
Reopened in November under the guidance of new general manager Sarah Vallely, boutique hotel OPUS Vancouver brought back Capo, a cozy pizzeria, and The Spritz, a cocktail bar created to complement the restaurant. Both are available for private bookings. OPUS also offers five dedicated event spaces spanning a total of 2,260 square feet, including three meeting rooms, which all offer “Banquet Butler” packages that come complete with a curated menu by executive chef Lucais Syme, complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as a built-in screen, projector and AV capabilities perfect for a hybrid team meeting or corporate event. The meeting rooms, OPUS I, II and III, can host up to 24, 60 and 12 guests, respectively. OPUS I and II can be combined into an 869-square-foot space for up to 80 for a cocktail-style event or 48 banquet style.

Windfall Cider & Co.
Windfall Cider & Co.
Opened at the end of March, Windfall Cider & Co. has added a new tasting room to Vancouver’s brewery district. The cidery walls showcase ingredients and inspirations behind the beverages, including artistic sketches of apples and botanicals grown in the region. The 2,000-square-foot space is available for buyouts starting at $5,000. Parties of 30 can be seated inside the cidery and up to 50 can attend a standing event. A patio is forthcoming.

Paradox Hotel Vancouver
Paradox Hotel Vancouver
Paradox Hotel Vancouver opened at the beginning of April as a flagship location in Coal Harbour. The hotel can accommodate all types of events across its 15,500 square feet, including up to 360 seated guests in the Grand Ballroom and 150 seated guests in the English Bay Room. As for standing events, up to 500 guests can occupy the Grand Ballroom, 200 guests in the English Bay Room and 250 guests in the wrap-around terrace. Full buyouts are available, with dependency on the season for al fresco celebrations, but full banquet buyouts range from $30,000-$45,000. For a more intimate gathering, the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Mott 32, offers four private dining rooms.
