If your company is still going ahead with holiday festivities, time’s running out to make arrangements. With smaller gatherings or in-office celebrations in mind, here are some resources for a recession-proof—but fun—party.

1. Cupcake salon More is offering holiday flavors like egg nog and peppermint. A dozen cupcakes cost $39.50, and discounts are available for bulk orders. At least two day's notice is recommended.

2. Rockstar Dogs can provide hot dogs with special toppings for as many as 1,000 guests. Named after musicians, selections include the bacon-wrapped, jalapeño-topped Los Lobos; the Ramone, with sauerkraut and mustard; and the Yardbird, a turkey dog. Orders come with fries and a can of soda for $2.

3. For a holiday gathering with a charitable angle, Total Event Resources is offering teambuilding activities where groups can build bicycles and make toys that will be donated to local charities. The company will divide the projects up into stations so everyone can work together. Pricing varies by group size, location, and time frame but typically ranges from $75 to $250 a person.

4. La Madia delivers thin-crust pizzas, salads, and other Neapolitan-style dishes for in-office groups of 20 or more. Per-person rices range from $9.50 to $14.50.
