Located in River North, Workspring offers five private work studios that planners can rent for four-hour morning or afternoon sessions or three-hour evening sessions. Rental fees are $140 per guest.
Ranging in size from 225 square feet to 660 square feet, the work spaces feature office supplies, in-room luggage storage, and layered, movable surfaces, which the venue refers to as "springboards" and can be written on or tacked with materials.
Audiovisual equipment within the rooms includes Bluetooth microphones for teleconferencing, projection screens, and digital display screens. Workspring staffers also keep mobile-device chargers on hand for guests whose Blackberry or laptop batteries are running low.
Common areas of the venue range from a cafe that offers coffee and snacks to a space dubbed the Forum, where collections of books, videos, and found objects are meant to inspire creativity during meeting breaks.
Available for full buyout, Workspring opened in November and can host events for 75 guests.
