The Scout Waterhouse and Kitchen opened in the South Loop near McCormick Pace last month. With a menu inspired by road trips, the American restaurant serves burgers made with locally raised farm beef, bacon-wrapped Angus meat loaf, and signature grilled cheese sandwiches.
Outfitted with pine bars, brass accents, and blown-glass light fixtures, the rustic interior was inspired by lodges in Colorado and Montana. The eatery has 200 seats and 24 flat-screen TVs, and is available for buyout. A patio is open when weather permits.
In the back of the space, a private room with three 50-inch flat-screen TVs and an iPod connection can seat 15 or host receptions for 25. A semiprivate area at the back has its own bar and can host receptions for 125 or dinners for 50. At the front of the space, a larger semiprivate area has booth and long-table seating and another bar, and can seat 75 or hold 200 for cocktails.
