Why contaminate premium liquor or bottled water with tap-water ice cubes? To preserve taste and prevent health problems, Water Bank of America has created Ice Rocks (786.597.5282, www.icerocks.com). Manufactured in France, these ice cubes are made from nitrate-free spring water from the Vendée region. Sold in its liquid state, this product offers substantial savings in terms of delivery costs, in that it does not require refrigerated trucks. WBOA is also toying with Ice Kids. Still in development, these ice cubes are brightly colored, as they are made using natural fruit extracts (e.g. strawberry, lemon, pineapple, and blueberry). Children can pour spring water over Ice Kids fruit ice cubes and enjoy the flavors of their favorite juices without consuming extra sugar.
