Isle Casino and Racing at Pompano Park
Carey Jones Interiors
On April 14, Isle Casino and Racing at Pompano Park began its second phase, featuring a poker room and two gourmet restaurants, with the assistance of award-winning event planners Festivities. The two new restaurants, Bragozzo and Farraddays Signature Steakhouse, are available for private events on the days they are closedβMonday and Tuesday for the former; Wednesday and Thursday for the latterβand can be reserved for private events on regular business days for a rental fee plus sales. Bragozzo seats 200 guests and has a private dining area for 24, while Farraddays seats 180 and contains a 30-person private dining area. Developed with accomplished chef Luke Palladino, Bragozzo was inspired by the tradition of the flat-bottomed Venetian fishing boats of the same name, and features warm Tuscany colors fused with hardwoods and marble, as well as an open kitchen. Aside from the four eateries (the two new ones, plus Isle Buffet and Myron's), the facility also contains a 1,500-slot casino, a 34-table poker room, a multistory circular feature bar named Fling that offers vibrant high-action imagery and audio on multiple video displays, and new racing amenities (a high-tech sports bar, wagering area overlooking the track, and a new winner's circle). Engineers at Fusion Glass created a unique water feature made up of nine glass columns rising more than 12 feet from the floor and constructed of almost 4,000 individual, hand-cut glass sheets stacked atop each other. Water is pumped up the center of the columns and runs across giant laminated sheets spanning the walkways and cascading off the edge into tropical pools.
