Renovations to Dolphin Stadium, the sports and entertainment facility with the largest hi-definition video boards in professional sports and the world's longest LED ribbon display, are scheduled for completion in 2009. The Club Level will be hermetically sealed in preparation for the rich wood furniture and the new design elements being incorporated into the 200 Level. Current construction projects will focus on building out the Club Level, the V.I.P. lobby and restrooms in the Plaza Level, and the 200 and 300 level sidelines, as well as the infrastructure to support the future expansion of the 100 and 400 levels. These major expansions will more than double the existing floor area by adding 360,000 square feet of enclosed space, with many options for events of all sizes. A new sleek and rounded exterior stadium design will help shade and comfort thousands of guests with louvered sun controls and a curving curtain wall system. New custom curtain wall caps, custom railing and connection details, and a pattern of colored glass have also been selected. HOK Sport, Rockwell Group, and Stiles Corporationβ€”the three companies behind the renovationsβ€”will also provide flat-screen hi-definition TV monitors in all the new areas. The stadium has hosted two World Series, four Super Bowls, the FedEx Orange Bowl, and numerous concerts to date.
