Despite the economic climate, 60 noteworthy restaurants opened in South Florida in 2008 and are featured in the 2009 Miami/South Florida Zagat Survey, released November 17.
In addition to the 1,018 restaurants reviewed by the pollsters, the guide also divulges information such as where diners can get the best bang for their buck-such as at Miami's Dogma Grill, which also just opened a new location in Fort Lauderdale.
The 30-year-old survey-available at bookstores and other retail outlets-also declared South Beach's Joe's Stone Crab the most popular eatery in Miami Dade County, Blue Moon Fish Company the most popular in Broward, and Ke'e Grill the favorite in Palm Beach, based on input from more than 5,700 consumers.
