To garner attention for its new Ă  la carte chef's table dining option, Broward County's Seminole Casino Coconut Creek turned to Dinner in the Sky Events.

The high-flying dining experience, which officially launched its first public event in the U.S. last night, hoists 22 guests-who are comfortably strapped into a leather seat secured to a table-180 feet in the air for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The casino's resident chef, Francois Ternes, wowed V.I.P.s and members of the media with a three-part brunch this morning of bagels and lox, mixed fruit, and oatmeal crème brûlée-which the chef caramelized by blowtorch up in the sky.

Dinner in the Sky, which boasts 16 such apparatuses worldwide, will be at the casino through tomorrow night for its special invite-only dining experiences. The new chef's table at the casino's 6,000-square-foot restaurant Fresh Harvest will officially open to the public on December 13.
