The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced Wednesday that it has entered into an exclusive five-year catering contract with Performing Arts Catering by Barton G., a subsidiary of Barton G., a top event producer, destination management company, and caterer in Miami. This partnership marks Barton G.'s first venture with a performing arts center; they will provide all catering and concession services for performances and special events at the downtown venue.
"From day one we've placed great value in offering top-quality food and beverage service and supporting local organizations, so it's only fitting that we're teaming up with South Florida's preeminent caterer," said J. Ricky Arriola, chairman of the center's trust board of directors.
The venue also plans on opening a restaurant inside the Ziff Ballet Opera House in early 2009, as well as a street-level lounge in the Carnival Tower, both of which will also be overseen by Barton G. Performance tickets will not be required for guests to dine at either location. Reservations will be accepted upon opening.
Restaurant Associates' run as the Arsht Center's exclusive caterer ended in November.
