Table 8 restaurant on Ocean Drive, inside the Z Ocean Hotel South Beach, closed its doors on Tuesday. Josh Woodward, co-owner of chef Govind Armstrong's restaurant, told The Miami Herald the decision comes as a result of the hotel’s change in ownership from a Regent to a Crowne Plaza property.
“Though Table 8 has tremendous respect for Crowne Plaza hotels, we have elected to exercise options in our lease to vacate the location,” said Woodward, adding that he’s looking for a new location near his and Armstrong’s other eatery, 8 Oz., on Alton Road.
