To create some excitement among fans in the off-season, the Miami Dolphins hosted three simultaneous "Fins on the Clock Draft Parties" on April 28 at locations in Miami, Naples, and North Palm Beach. More than 3,000 people turned out for the main event at Miami's Sun Life Stadium, which included a live broadcast of the N.F.L. draft with analysis from The Finsiders—former Dolphins Kim Bokamper, Keith Sims, and Patrick Surtain, and host Jesse Agler. Organizers created a custom set for the event that included an empty chair draped with a #88 jersey in honor of longtime Dolphins player and broadcaster Jim Mandich, who died from cancer April 26. The event, sponsored by Pepsi Max, also included autograph opportunities, performances by the Dolphins cheerleaders, and a sale of authentic Dolphins helmets, uniforms, and other apparel to benefit the Miami Dolphins Foundation. The live analysis of the draft continued on April 29 and 30.
