Miami-based Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters introduced their newest boat, the Venetian Lady, on October 2 at the Miami Beach Resort and Spa Marina with an event fit for royalty.
Guests were invited to board both the Venetian Lady and the Biscayne Lady, where waitstaff stood at every turn with hors d'oeuvres prepared by the charter company and cocktails. Before boarding, attendees enjoyed samples of MonaVie, a nutritional beverage made from the acai berry.
The Venetian Lady featured an elegant dining room where guests could relax with a drink or sample the many hors d'oeuvres and listen to the innovative fusion stylings provided by the LGEM Trio. The 130-foot, three-deck yacht had guests lounging on the upper deck and enjoying the view of Biscayne Bay, and others mingling in the cabins amongst the hustle and bustle of the bar.In the next slip over, on the Biscayne Lady, attendees enjoyed a sea of food stations and entertainment, including a two-man band playing classic rock and a magician performing card tricks. On the middle deck, a quiet lounge awaited those looking for a more low-key experience.
Toward the middle of the evening, guests gathered around the back of the Venetian Lady to witness the christening ceremony, with a bottle of champagne being smashed against the side of the boat. Stuart Blumberg, president and C.E.O. of the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association, made a special appearance for the christening.
