The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) partnered with Interview and Art in America magazine again this year and hosted the fifth annual Art in America party to jump-start Art Basel 2007. More than 2,000 guests migrated to North Miami to peruse the work of Los Angeles-based designer Jorge Pardo. The exhibit, curated by Bonnie Clearwater of MOCA, featured more than 60 works, including sculptures, installations, and paintings presented in room vignettes.
"I am interested in domestic space because it's the place into which people project themselves with the greatest ease," Pardo said.
Outside of the "House" exhibit in the museum's courtyard, guests mingled and indulged on the expansive buffet provided by Fairy Treats; drinks were provided compliments of Grey Goose vodka and Stella Artois.
