On Saturday night more than 2,600 people hit the Miami Beach Convention Center for the first-ever kickoff event for Miami Spice, the restaurant promotion organized by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, where some of the city's top chefs offer prix-fixe menus during August and September.
The kickoff highlighted 35 of the 119 participating restaurants’ menus. Despite offering a veritable rainbow of varying culinary genres, the evening's many dishes featured common ingredients like fresh avocado, duck confit, and chorizo. Here is a look at 10 of the offerings.
