Corporate groups in South Florida have a new way to unwind—or stir up friendly competition—now that Soccer Town has set up camp in Midtown Miami. The venue, which opened the first week of March, brings much-needed sports space to a town that loves its soccer. Its three outdoor fields are FIFA-regulated, and each has room for six-on-six matches. They can also be combined—as they are on weekends—into one larger field for eight-on-eight games. While Soccer Town has been organizing local leagues and tournaments, general manager Adria "Pinky" Gaete also welcomes corporate teambuilding events, parties, and coaching sessions. The fields are lit for night play, and the venue has its own free parking. A concession stand sells snacks and soft drinks, and Soccer Town is in the process of acquiring a liquor license. Field rental fees depend on the day and time of play, but start at $80. Booking the venue as one large field starts at $200. Outside catering is an option.
