Designer Marc Jacobs is facing objections over the venue set for his February 11 fashion show during New York's Fashion Week, according to The New York Times. Jacobs and PR and event firm KCD plan to put up three tents for 1,000 guests in Cpl. John A. Seravalli Playground, on Hudson Street between Horatio and Gansevoort Streets. The city's Parks Department has approved the plan, but a community group is complaining that the event will close the park for 10 days--although it will yield the department $65,000.
