The spring 2003 New York fashion shows, currently scheduled for September 8 to 14, will probably be rescheduled to avoid conflicting with events commemorating September 11. "The deputy mayor's office has asked us to do it at another time," Fern Mallis, who organizes the Seventh on Sixth shows for talent agency IMG, told The New York Times. She added that the city is planning a week-long series of memorial events then. Details of the move have not been announced, but options include having the shows after the Milan and Paris shows, or transposing the London and New York schedules.
