While the city steams away this summer, take a meeting to the Borgata, the first major new hotel and casino in Atlantic City in 13 years. Owners MGM Mirage and Boyd Gaming have spared no expense: The Borgata features 70,000 square feet of event space, including a column-free ballroom with a 2,000-square-foot stage, 10 boardrooms, a 2,400-seat event center and a 1,000-seat theater. And Borgata's 11 restaurants range from Latin and Asian fusion from chefs Aaron Sanchez and Edwyn Ferrari to an outpost of the famed New York steakhouse the Old Homestead. —Suzanne Ito
