Catering company Yuzu takes a handcrafted approach to its artfully prepared, Bento-like sozai platters. Ideal for in-office meetings, each recyclable container has nine small dishes created to offer a balance of color, texture, and flavor. Dishes vary by season, but options may include salmon with vegetables and black rice tapioca; duck confit with peppers, red onion, and black bean sauce; and tofu chocolate cake with green tea powder. Each platter costs $23 and serves one person. Orders must be placed at least three days in advance (cash or check only). Free delivery is available from 40th Street to 60th Street and Third Avenue to Eighth Avenue; a $10 charge applies to deliveries in Manhattan outside of that area. Minimum orders are five platters for lunch and 10 for dinner; orders can't exceed 100 platters.
