At Fashion Week, front-row guests can boost a designer's standing, especially when Hollywood stars and editors like Anna Wintour make an appearance. However, sometimes a not-so-fashionable guest can draw negative attention. On Friday, Eliot Spitzer's former call girl Ashley Dupré scored a coveted position by the runway at Yigal Azrouël's show in the tents, a seating placement the designer had not approved. In fact, Azrouël was so unhappy about the incident, the GQ Best New Menswear Designers in America finalist fired front-of-house coordinator and publicity firm People's Revolution.
"I'm not going to work with [People's Revolution] anymore," Azrouël told WWD. "I'm trying to be calm about the situation, but I'm really not happy about it."
Both the designer and the PR company issued statements on Friday confirming the termination of the relationship.
