Frozen Penguin, an outlet serving ice cream sandwiches at OdySea Aquarium, launched a food truck in September that is available for events throughout the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Planners can pre-order custom-designed ice cream sandwiches using a combination of homemade cookies and brownies, ice cream, and toppings. The truck will serve the sweet treats on site at the event.

Started in Sweden as a way to combine eco-friendliness and exercise, plogging is an activity wherein joggers pick up and remove trash as they move along their routes. Natural Restorations, a Gilbert-based nonprofit dedicated to removing graffiti and trash from natural spaces, recently began hosting plogging excursions throughout the Phoenix area. While these outings are usually free, Natural Restorations asks groups that want to arrange a private outing to donate to the organization.

In November, Hotel Valley Ho launched a new architectural tour of Scottsdale, which planners can book for their guests independent of hotel stays. A local expert guides guests through the area’s unique mid-century architecture, including behind-the-scenes looks at two Frank Lloyd Wright homes, Hotel Valley Ho, and other sites. The tour accommodates as many as 10 guests and can be booked for either three or six hours.
