The 25th incarnation of I.C.F.F. ran May 18 to 21 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. A great place for event professionals to get ideas and inspiration, the show displayed items such as Toyko-based Oodesign's tiny floating vases. The vessels hold individual buds and submerge their stems in water.Â

Each of the 400 tables had its own distinctive look with a dramatic flower arrangement from La Premier that included silver manzanita branches, calla lilies, roses, and orchids. The ballroom continually changed colors throughout the evening thanks to Images by Lighting. Irma Hardjakusumah was the technical director. In addition to Patina's dinner—a menu that included a starter of Little Gem lettuce salad, a main of filet mignon, and a dessert of Caramelia Namelaka—Marich Confectionery premium chocolates and Beaulieu Vineyard paired for a wine and chocolate section in the event space. Grey Goose poured the night's signature "Emmy" cocktail.

Ever enchanted by florals, Dior creative director Raf Simons utilized 300,000 stems of hanging foliage that included orchids, wisteria, and lianas, among others, mixed with plants both real and artificial, as his runway backdrop. The jungle-like setting, filled with tropical cascades of fabric flowers and real plants painted canary yellow, fuchsia pink, and chlorophyll green, was a nod to Dior’s many links to nature. In total, 48,438 square feet of decor—32,292 square feet of walls plus 16,146 square feet of roofs—was used.
