The Corcoran Gallery of Art, in conjunction with BizBash, invited top event planners from the Washington area to an intimate event to kick off the holiday season and see the latest products from local caterers, decor companies, florists, and lighting vendors.
Todd Gray's Muse at the Corcoran served a seasonal menu of hors d'oeuvres and a specialty white sangria cocktail. Guests were welcomed by the Corcoran's C.O.O., Lauren Garcia, and director of special events, Allie Gallo Laine, as well as BizBash founder and C.E.O. David Adler. Two guests were awarded door prizes—lunch for two at Todd Gray's Muse at the Corcoran and a one-year membership to the museum.
Located across from the South Lawn of the White House, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s spectacular Beaux-Arts building hosts a number of corporate, nonprofit, and social events in Washington. The gallery has two main event spaces: the Atrium and the Bridge. The Atrium, a skylit space perfect for receptions and large dinners, can hold 400 guests for a seated dinner or 300 for dinner and dancing. The Bridge, on the second level, overlooks the Atrium; it seats 100 or holds 250 for receptions. Combined, the two spaces can hold as many as 900 for receptions. Upon request, the galleries can be opened for a private viewing or docent-led tour. Other spaces include the Salon Dore, a gilded 18th-century room once part of the Hotel de Clermont in Paris, and the Frances and Armand Hammer Auditorium.
