The City of Dallas recently established rules to allow ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft to pick up and drop off passengers at the Dallas Love Field airport. Through its Lyft for Work program, employees are allotted monthly credits for commutes, corporate travel, and event and conference transportation. And in June, Lyft partnered with Southwest Airlines to make getting to and from the airport even easier by offering discounts (up to $10 off) in flight confirmation emails; more offers are expected to roll out in the coming months.

Kate Spade New York
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Kate Spade's fall presentation, held at Center548, lived up to its "Vintage New York" theme, incorporating a bevy of yellow checked cabs in the center of the venue. Models surrounding the taxis, clad in outfits that featured whimsical urban icons like hot dogs, street signs, and the Empire State Building, were bathed in a plethora of neon lights while a backdrop Kate Spade New York logo wall was even tagged with pink graffiti.

Dries Van Noten Spring/Summer 2014
For Dries Van Noten’s September 25 show, the designer continued to play off a theme of Byzantine gold. But while his June men’s show backdrop featured massive sheets of quivering gold Mylar, the more recent outing had gold foil applied to huge slatted wood screens. Held in a massive warehouse in the 13th arrondissement, Van Noten managed to make the raw space intimate while treating editors and retailers to a performance from Colin Greenwood of Radiohead. As the guitarist played, keeping time with each model, the 50-look show featured prominently against the zig-zagging divider wall that served as a backdrop placed directly opposite where guests were seated. After the finale, the models lined up against the gold wall and guests were invited to get an up-close-and-detailed look at the outfits.
