Here are two brand-new rental items that can be changed up to suit an event's needs.
1. Building Blocks, a line of sleek, high-back benches, is the latest offering from AFR Event Furnishings (formerly Room Service). Each seat back has a slot where an LED box can be inserted to give the seats a colorful strip of light. The seats are 48 inches high by 48 inches long and cost $395 each. Ottomans, $150 each, can be added to the mix to create banquette seating.
2. Perfect Settings recently debuted its new Chameleon Tables at a convention in March. The pieces, which can be made bigger or smaller to create bars, buffets, and cocktail tables, are constructed of welded steel frames that support four or more 15-inch panels, which comprise the exterior of the piece. Padded with thin pieces of foam, the panels can be covered in a variety of materials, many of which are recycled or sustainable, including fabric, wood, bamboo, and metal. The panels hang off the frame, so no additional tools are needed to set them up or take them down. Owner Peter Grazzini will also work with planners to create completely customized bars. Pricing ranges from $200 to $500 per piece.
