The Canadian Art Foundation hosted its 20th anniversary gala at the Carlu on September 17. The night featured commissioned artworks and experiences, and even the bar had an artistic component. Called the "Coulour Barr" after its creator, Toronto-based artist Barr Gilmore, the installation offered drinks in a rainbow of colors. Guests could select cocktails including the purple "Queen Bee," which was made with gin, Campari, and Bols Blue and garnished with crushed blackberries. Another drink, the green "Frog Prince," contained scotch and crème de menthe; it was garnished with mint leaves.
