Savory is a delivery service launched in April that aims to bring a fine-dining element to in-office dinners and lunches. Its owners boast kitchen and hospitality experience from Bouley, the Soho Grand, and the Standard New York, among other places. The menu, which is available throughout Midtown, is primarily comfort food favorites. Items include burgers (beef, turkey, halibut, and veggie), pastas (Bolognese, lasagna, and penne vodka), salads (Cobb, Caesar, and arugula with Humboldt Fog cheese), sandwiches (pulled pork, pesto chicken), and pizzas.
Most items are priced at $15 and under. Entrées, which range from $17 to $28 and come with two side dishes, include grass-fed hanger steak, meat loaf, and herb-crusted Atlantic halibut. Custom menus are available with advance notice. All food comes packaged in biodegradable containers designed to retain heat. The company prides itself on its fast, free delivery service, which typically takes around 20 minutes. And don't expect the typical harried delivery person. Although they travel by bike, Savory staffers wear ties for an upscale touch.
