
Opened last month, Pleasant Storage Room is a 1920s Cuban-theme rum bar. The semiprivate Marlin Room holds 40 guests, while the entire space holds 99 people. The Cedar Street Courtyard, the live music stage, is also available with coordination.

The highly anticipated Chavez opened in February in the Radisson Hotel & Suites Austin Downtown. Helmed by chef Shawn Cirkiel, the restaurant offers three private dining options: the 40-seat Lady Bird Lake Room, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake; the 24-seat Cava Room; and the Pool Deck, a covered terrace with an infinity-edge pool. Cocktail menus and a full bar are available.

Located next to the Austin Convention Center, Crave offers locally sourced fare, including sushi and beer. Options for the private dining room, which opened in February, include the executive room, which holds as many as 50 people, and the governor’s room, which holds 80. The patio and side bar area are also available for private events.

The Hightail reopened after 18 months of renovations, along with the Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar, offering new capabilities. The star of the cocktail lounge is its karaoke rooms, which hold as many as 22 people. The rooms have themes such as the Joysticks room with a Nintendo motif and the Black Lodge, a tribute to the David Lynch TV show Twin Peaks. The space has hosted musical events, trivia nights, and corporate meetings, and it offers audiovisual capacities as well as a 12- by 18-foot stage. The entire lounge holds as many as 50 guests, and the patio holds about 50. The patio can be booked on its own or in conjunction with the lounge.
