1. Set within a pair of old garages, the Cedar Lake Center features exposed-steel trusses and brick, as well as a large industrial skylight.

2. A onetime trolley repair shop, the Sculpture Center in Long Island City has lofty steel beams and an old gantry crane in its main gallery space. There’s also a large garage door and clerestory windows.

3. Steel beams overhead lend an industrial air to the restaurant Landmarc in TriBeCa, which also features heavy steel doors, exposed ductwork, and a staircase that shows off protruding rebar rods.
