Sometimes guests need more than club soda to take care of a stained gown or tie. Madame Paulette, the New York-based dry-cleaning service known for handling couture and other precious garments for clients in the fashion industry, has launched a mobile unit that can travel to events.

Dubbed the Fashion Ambulance, the mobile unit responds to various fashion emergencies. It previously serviced Fashion Week events, but this summer it spent its first season in the Hamptons for private clients and events and now will be available for events year-round.

The tricked-out Mercedes-Benz Sprinter includes stations for pressing, tailoring, and spotting, a private dressing room, a full-length mirror, terrycloth robes and slippers, and a waiting area with chairs where guests can sip on beverages while staff fix their garments.

Owner John Mahdessian says the unit was busy during New York Fashion Week, and he expects to serve as a high-end amenity for guests at galas and other events with well-heeled crowds.

“These emergencies always happen,” Mahdessian says. “It’s nice to come to the rescue.”
