Group Sales for Next Year's King Tut Show Now Available

Marking the final stop of its North American tour, "Tutankhamum and the Golden Age of the Pharoahs," comes to New York next spring with an exhibition at the Discovery Times Square Exposition facility. Group sales for the show, organized by National Geographic, Arts and Exhibitions International, and AEG Exhibitions, starts today. This, the final leg of the tour, runs from late April through December 2010, before the artifacts head back to Cairo.

On display will be more than 130 ancient objects, which range in age from 3,300 to 3,500 years old. There are more than 50 pieces from King Tut's tomb, including the gold crown used on his mummy. The exhibition marks the first time a show of treasures culled form Tut's tomb have been presented in New York since the Met's 1979 blockbuster exhibit. Group ticketing is available for 15 or more guests, and adult prices start at $25.50 each; special on-site lunch boxes and meal packages will also be available.
