In December, catering company the Food Dudes partnered up with club promotion firm Something and Monroe and entrepreneur Steve Georgiev to open Bloke & 4th. With a prime location near the TIFF Bell Lightbox and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the restaurant and lounge was built with events in mind and includes a number of customizable features.
Bloke & 4th is divided into two roomsโthe dining room, called 4th, and the lounge, known as Bloke. The spaces can be rented together or individually, although there is only one bathroom for both spaces. The entire site is available for buyouts and holds as many as 380 guests.
Lined with plush blue banquettes and bordered by a bar, the 2,500-square-foot dining room seats 90 and includes a semi-private table for 16 at the window. Exposed brick walls and hanging local art add to the decor.
The same blue banquettes accent Bloke, the open 2,500-square-foot lounge furnished with cocktail tables and small ottomans. A larger bar extends across the space, uplit with customizable coloured lighting. Near the entrance is a small stage with built-in audiovisual equipment, which does triple duty as a V.I.P. area or additional private dining space.
The kitchen is headed by Food Dudes founder, Adrien Niman. The menu features seasonal ingredients and global flavours and can be customized for events.
