Being introduced this week is Register123 Version 2.0, a new edition of software that brings online registration and other Web-based tools to event planners. The new version is more flexible and user-friendly, and allows users to develop online information pages for event attendees, as well as forms and reports for planners, attendees and vendors. Best-suited for large or multi-day events, the software can create an unlimited number of Web sites containing event information where attendees can register online. It can also generate customized progress reports and track attendees by as many as 20 characteristics. The new version comes from Certain Software, creator of the Event Planner Plus software, which acquired the product's original developer, Register 123.com, earlier this year. Average price range is $1,000 to $1,500 to set up a new online registration form, and an additional fee of $2 to $7 is charged for every registration processed. --Jill Musguire
