1. FORMER PRESIDENTS AND FIRST LADIES ATTEND BARBARA BUSH'S FUNERAL: On Saturday at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton joined George H. W. Bush at his wife Barbara Bush's memorial service. Former first ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, and Hillary Clinton were also in attendance, along with First Lady Melania Trump. President Donald Trump did not attend the funeral. CNN: "The White House released a statement saying he decided not to attend the funeral in order 'to avoid disruptions due to added security, and out of respect for the Bush family and friends attending the service.' The decision was not uncommon for a sitting president. Neither Obama nor the younger Bush attended the funerals of first ladies during their respective terms. Clinton did attend a graveside service for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1994." https://tinyurl.com/ydftwau2
2. SECURITY FLAW FOUND IN RSA CONFERENCE APP: Organizers of the RSA Conference, which finished up in San Francisco on April 20, acknowledged that a vulnerability was discovered by a researcher within its RSA Conference Mobile App, exposing some user information. The issue was quickly rectified, but it concerned some attendees of the conference, which is dedicated to computer security and encryption. Mashable: "And, to make matters worse, this wasn't the only problem members of the cybersecurity community had with the conference app. Specifically, the permissions the app required raised a lot of eyebrows.... And while a fast response is great, still, come on. Security professionals like those at the RSA Conference shouldn't count on the goodwill of third-party researchers to keep attendee data secure. But somehow, though, that's exactly where we are." https://tinyurl.com/ycomevuu
3. PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE IN SEARCH OF THE "POSHEST PORTALOOS": For their upcoming May 19 nuptials, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in search of a royal flush. The couple's wedding dinner and party will be held at Frogmore House near Windsor Castle, with a grand tent being erected for the big shindig. But the main house, which was built in the late 1600s, and its plumbing aren't equipped to handle hundreds of guests. Vanity Fair: “'It’s just one of many things that is having to be planned and thought about,' says a wedding insider. 'The couple will be going for the poshest portaloos money can buy, as they need extra loos for all the guests they have coming to the evening event.'” https://tinyurl.com/y7mjwr5j
