What happens when prom goes Hollywood? Think a swanky locale like Boulevard3 instead of the high school gym, Audrina Patridge of MTV’s The Hills competing with other socialites for the prom queen title, and TV’s quintessential principal—Dennis Haskins, aka Saved by the Bell’s Mr. Belding—serving as M.C. Of course, unlike the typical high school prom, where jocks, geeks, and cheerleaders alike are welcome, this event gathered selected celebrities and an amalgam of Hollywood industry professionals to relive prom and celebrate L.A.

The prom committee, if you will, was made up of Jane Owen and Michael Xavier of Owen/Xavier PR and Hollywood Covered life and style editor Niki Shadrow, who jointly hired Carrie Zack of Carrie Zack Events to help coordinate production. Zack stuck with a prom decor classic—balloons—and had the folks at Beyond the Balloon create towers using shades of blue and white. Overhead, 16-inch silver Mylar balloons (hanging from a string attached to a regular helium balloon) shimmered, creating a whimsical look.
Citizen Smith Urban Bistro passed out mini burgers, egg rolls, and chicken strips, while a homemade dessert station featuring chocolate-chip cookies, Rice Krispies treats, and brownies went for a PTA-sponsored vibe. Bright red punch filled bowls that sat behind the bar and—in perhaps the most honored prom tradition of all—was spiked.
