Here are 10 steal-worthy ideas we spotted this week, including Oscars frozen in ice cubes at Daniel Boulud's New York tasting, a massive indoor sun at Marc Jacobs's show at New York Fashion Week, decor inspired by Elizabeth Taylor at a Bulgari bash in Beverly Hills, a gold-painted tree dangling boxes of chocolate at Preston Bailey's Empire State Building wedding, and more.

Guests at the Marc Jacobs show during New York Fashion Week were greeted by a massive indoor "sun" installed in the circular runway space at the 69th Regiment Armory. As the models emerged for their second walk leading up to the finale, the light turned white, showcasing the collection's true colors and attention to detail.

Topshop opened its Los Angeles flagship at the Grove with a Valentine's Day celebration that had a festival-like atmosphere. Just before the store flung open its doors, a parade of black, London-style taxis drove the length of the line of about 1,500 onlookers. Models decked out in Topshop fashions popped out then cut a ribbon and entered the store first. The Projects handled production.

For this year’s 85th Academy Awards on Sunday, New York program director Patrick Harrison tapped Daniel Boulud and his Upper East Side restaurant Daniel to host 130 Academy members, film industry insiders, and friends for canapés, cocktails, and a three-course dinner. The evening’s specialty cocktail, pictured here, will be the Red Carpet. It's a mix of pear-infused vodka, St. Germain, and champagne, complete with a paper Oscar statuette frozen inside an ice cube.

'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit Issue Launch
Sports Illustrated went all out to promote this year's swimsuit issue, broadcasting videos of the featured models onto the exterior of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Executed by Pearl Media, the publicity stunt last Wednesday turned the hotel's façade into an enormous movie screen, mapping 3-D projections of cover girl Kate Upton and other models in skimpy swimwear on the 51,000-square-foot surface.

Ben Bourgeois Productions turned the dinner tent into a Roman terrace-style setting replete with white linens, ornate patio furniture, and tiered centerpieces filled with lemons.

As a way to showcase 20 new fall and winter looks during New York's Fashion Week on February 7, Band of Outsiders created a scavenger hunt last week that combined a roving glass-paneled truck with Twitter. Live-streamed to the brand's Web site, the Shiraz Events-produced marketing stunt invited consumers to help solve clues posted to Twitter and share photos of the truck via their social media accounts.
