Broadway's longest running show, The Phantom of the Opera, marked its staying power with a 25th-anniversary show and gala on January 26 in New York. The post-performance event brought 1,250 guests to the New York Public Library, where the planning team from Serino/Coyne set the scene with costumes and pieces from the production, plenty of candlelight, and eerie projections of Phantom's iconic white mask. Envisioned by the musical's producer, Cameron Mackintosh, the night felt like an extension of the show, re-creating its haunting, sometimes ghostly imagery.
