Mabel's Bakery & Specialty Foods—a new café and bakery on Roncesvalles Avenue—offers a catering menu with sandwiches, hot meals, and desserts for office lunches. Sandwich platters, which cost $7.25 per person, include vegan options (made with hummus, sprouts, and seeds), vegetarian selections (aged cheddar, chutney and greens, egg salad, cream cheese, or cucumber and tomato), and meaty choices (salami, smoked turkey, provolone, and olive salad). Hot lunches, which range between $9 to $12 per person, include chicken pot pie, spinach and ricotta lasagne, and quiche made with seasonal vegetables, cream, and free-range eggs. Mabel's uses organic and local ingredients when possible. Catering orders must be placed three days in advance. Delivery is available in the downtown core and the west end.
