Long-standing Canadian restaurant chain Earls Kitchen & Bar expanded to downtown Toronto this February with the opening of a prime financial district location, at the corner of York and King streets. The restaurant's extensive menu emphasizes locally grown and seasonal produce in dishes ranging from burgers and pizzas to Indian and Italian, and the eatery offers several options for events.
The 10,000-square-foot restaurant seats 292 people total and features dark woods throughout, combined with creative industrial elements such as a wood ceiling crafted from shipping pallets, as well as more modern touches like a 44-foot marble wall, brown leather seating, and an open kitchen at the center of the restaurant. Large TVs playing sports are scattered throughout the space.
The private dining space seats 45 for dinner or holds 100 for receptions, and can be booked between 4 and 9 p.m. daily. A larger lounge space holds 200 guests for receptions and is available for private events Mondays through Wednesdays only. A patio is slated to open this spring.
