Lindsey Shaw Catering is now offering clients a new Asian-inspired passed appetizer that features birch-glazed Atlantic salmon served with apple and ginger slaw. The dish is served in mini Chinese bowls on black Lucite trays with chopsticks.

Available for fund-raisers, galas, trade shows, and other events, Canadian artist Scott Kish can create live paintings using oils on giant aluminum canvases that depict party scenes in real time, brands, logos, portraits, and more. Billed as Toronto's first Hawaiian-inspired shaved-ice truck, Sweet Snow Shave Ice can bring its gourmet version of the tropical snack to events and meetings. The icy treats are made with all-natural sweeteners such as agave and organic cane sugar, and homemade flavors include guava, mango, and "the Hawaiian," which blends pineapple, coconut, and banana.

Eatertainment Special Events & Catering has added an item to its fall menu called SASSeh. Executive chef Christopher Matthew adds his choice of cheese—a favorite is bleu bénédictin from Quebec—to a skewer, then rolls the cheese in maple sugar taffy, locally produced by Ninutik.
