8 Ways to Spotlight the Neighborhood at a Condo Sales Event

A Toronto open house had local flavor—and engagement techniques—to spare.

The luxury condo market is making a comeback, inspiring plenty of over-the-top sales events. An open house for Toronto's boutique condo development at 32 Camden Street enticed buyers by showcasing the building's neighborhood. Produced by Candice & Alison, the "Live Camden" open house took place over a weekend in July and offered a series of pop-up experiences provided by local business owners.

"A typical open house gives visitors an opportunity to tour a building and suites, but its location and neighborhood context are often just explained to visitors in a glossy brochure," said Alison Slight, managing director of Candice & Alison. "The neighborhood is such a strong selling feature of 32 Camden that we decided to invite [it] to participate in the open house. Visitors could not only see the suites, but also experience what living on Camden Street would be like." The pop-up spaces, which included a flower market and a gym, were free for local businesses and all had elements to engage visitors. Here's a look inside the event.

The event took place on the weekend of July 20 and drew some 650 guests. Toronto Flower Market offered free sunflowers and had bouquets available for sale.
