This week's roundup includes bikes with projectors in San Francisco, an Orphan Black mural at the final season premiere party in New York, Salvador Dali-inspired tablescapes at the Canada Opera Company's annual fund-raiser in Toronto, and a champagne bottle-lined step-and-repeat at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New York.

The premiere party for the final season of Orphan Black took place June 6 at Vandal in New York. Hosted by BBC America and produced by Shortlist Agency, the event featured a colorful mural with illustrations of the various clones played by the show’s star, Tatiana Maslany. One section of the wall served as a backdrop for a photo booth.

To get into the venue, guests walked through a long hallway that featured audio and and signage of quotes from the series.

The 10th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place June 3 at Liberty State Park in New York. The event, which was produced by Overland Entertainment Company, featured a massive branded wall of greenery and yellow florals that served as a photo backdrop.

The event’s step-and-repeat was lined with the brand’s champagne bottles.

The Canadian Opera Company’s 13th annual Operation fund-raiser took place May 25 at Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto. The event’s V.I.P. dinner, which was inspired by Salvador Dali's cookbook Les Dîners de Gala, featured table settings that included typewriter centerpieces, elixirs from Spirit of York Distillery Co., and turquoise-dyed dinner rolls. The event was catered by 10Tation Event Catering.

Google’s I/O developer conference took place May 17 to 19 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in San Francisco. To improve the flow of attendees through the food area, staff held color-coded menu signs that corresponded to the colors on the packaged food. Amanda Matuk, executive producer of the event, said the system worked well and allowed 7,200 people to be fed in 45 minutes.

Organizers provided pre-stamped postcards and invited attendees to write a note to a colleague, friend, or family member and drop it into one of the mailboxes located around the event.

The large tents that housed sessions during the day became canvases for pop-up artwork during the opening-night Block Party. Cyclists with projectors mounted on their bikes would stop to show a scene or short film on the side of the tent.

Beautycon Media’s New York festival took place May 20 at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. More than 80 brands, including Revlon, L’Oreal Paris, and Maybelline, were on site; the L’Oreal Paris space featured a flower-adorned Eiffel Tower as the centerpiece.

Kim Crawford Wines launched a new rosé on May 9 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Tree branches in the hotel's Crystal Garden were strung with white lights, accented with an installation of roses and bottles of Kim Crawford Rosé. Jen Fels Event Production & Design produced and designed the event.
