December 3, 2014: Backstage Secrets From the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, See WestJet's Heartwarming Holiday Activitation, Helpful Tips From Event Pros

1. BACKSTAGE SECRETS FROM THE VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW: The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show filmed yesterday in London—it airs in the United States on CBS December 9—and the show embraced London brands for its shoes, jewelry, and catering. Women’s Wear Daily: “Backstage, a long buffet table was laden with model food, including salads of all description, poached salmon and fresh fruit, but also baskets of bread rolls and a tin of Quality Street chocolates—a British holiday tradition. Fridges were filled with organic, cold-pressed juice by Suja and, yes, models were consuming.”

2. SEE WESTJET'S HEARTWARMING HOLIDAY ACTIVITATION: The Canadian airline WestJet brought back a marketing stunt that grants unsuspecting people holiday wishes, this time doling out treats to residents of a village in the Dominican Republic. Fast Company: “[Santa] asks all the townsfolk what they'd like to find under the tree and gets asked for everything from dolls and skateboards to an engine and a horse to help heads of households provide for their families. Then the airline's helpful elves get to work and organize a big beach party where all is revealed.” See the video here:
